The end of the island is not the end of the road for divers: it is here that the island becomes fairly interesting. At the right time of year – which usually means February and March – it is the happy hunting ground for White tip and Hammerhead sharks, with the possibility of a Thresher shark thrown in for good measure.

Even at the start of the dive, watch your depth gauge: do not go too deep too early when you see the forest of giant sea fans coupled with bucket sponges, elephant ear coral and green leather corals.

Suitable for Open water and higher grade divers, the depth varies between eight and 35 meters, usually with good visibility, and can be approached from either direction: from land or sea.

Shoals of mackerel and squid frequent the site in the ‘blue’ and there are also usually young barracuda patrolling and practising their skills.
