| Traveling
to the paradise Panglao Island Your destination airport is
Cebu City on the island of Cebu. Different airlines have flights to
Cebu available. Depending upon the airline, short stop - overs are
mostly in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Hong Kong, Abu Dabi (United Arab
Amirates or in Manila (Capital of the Philippines). Also a stop in Bangkok
(Thailand) is possible. Please make sure in each case that your luggage
is given up directly until Cebu! When travelling from Europe or America or other countrys abroad, may you will land at Manila International airport. From here you will to transfer to the national ( domestic ) airport. (small tip: The taxi from the international to the national airport should not cost any more than 100 Pisos!) Manila international airport hosts several currency exchange centers. (Philippine central bank; approx. 100 Euro conversions, 1 Euro=ca.60 Piso). The flight to Cebu takes approx 1 hour. Taxis are usually available outside the airport terminal building. Your next destination is the supercat ferry Terminal - about half an hour by taxi. This taxi fare should be no more than 250 peso. And should be agreed beforehand. Your ferry destination is Tagbilaran on the island of Bohol. Several fast ferries depart daily. However , if for some reason you miss the last ferry which departs at 19-00 hrs, an overnight stay in Cebu is no problem. We recommend the following hotels: the Holiday Plaza, Diplomat Hotel, Cebu View , the Golden Valley and the Sogo Hotel. There are several speedboats which one can take. Weesam and Ocean Jet or Super Cat can change their departure times depending upon the season , and are located in the ferry terminals. Ensure that you board the correct ferry. If you have 3 hours or more until the next ferry , the SM shopping center is a good way to spend the time. The ferry to Tagbilaran takes 1 1/2 hrs, and costs 500 pesos. For the journey we recommend that you have a jacket or a sweater handy as the airconditioning systems often run at full speed. At Tagbilaran plenty of Taxis are available upon arrival. Your final destination is Alona Beach on Panglao Island (Atlantis Dive Center or Kalipayan Resort). This journey takes about half an hour and should cost around 250 Pesos. If possible, try and share a taxi with other travellers going the same way. Once at the beach, please introduce yourself to us at Atlantis Dive Center. Cordial welcome to paradise. Contact
