Information  The
Philippines is located in South East Asia. It includes 7,172 islands,
of which approximately 2000 are inhabited. The national language is
Filipino, but English is widely spoken and understood. Ninety percent
of Filipinos are Christians, 8 % are Muslim (mainly on the southern
island of Mindanao).The time difference to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) is 8 hrs. Travel to Panglao can be made with a change of plane in Manila or directly to Cebu City. From Cebu, the Weesam or Ocean Jet (fast ferries) take one and a half hours to reach Tagbilaran on the island of Bohol. It is then just a half-hour taxi ride to Alona Beach on Panglao Island. Or, if you wish, a representative of Atlantis Dive Center can meet you at the airport in Cebu.
